I'm Lynette Alarcon I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Southern California. I have been in the field for 5 years treating Individuals with depression, anxiety, interpersonal issues, trauma and addiction. My approach I place a lot of emphasis on the therapeutic rapport. I strongly believe that a good therapeutic bond is a key intervention in helping clients reach their goals. I also enjoy implementing CBT, Solution Focused and DBT aspects into my work. My focus I enjoy working with different demographics that may be struggling with anxiety, depression, thought disorder, self-image and interpersonal issues. My communication style I typically prefer to learn what best suits the client. In my experience communication style is part of culture. When needed I am comfortable being direct yet supportive to assist clients in reaching goals. My journey to therapy I really enjoy learning about and getting to know people from different back grounds. I have learned that taking the time to try and understand some one with empathy and active listening can change that persons world. My goals for you Goal setting is always collaborative and should take into consideration the clients life stage, developmental level, cultural and or spiritual needs and family dynamics.
